For local brewery enthusiasts, the Ballantyne Hotel’s Fourth of July celebration may be the way to go. The South Charlotte event will feature a wide variety of local beer, food trucks, live music, and the perfect excuse to relax with friends. While there is no admission cost, red, white, and blue attire is highly recommended for the optimal patriotic experience. Located on the hotel’s golf pavilion, the lawn party is one for those looking to enjoy the outdoors while sipping on a cold beer, laughing with friends, and bask in the summer holiday.
Blue Blaze Brewing’s Red, White, and Blue Blaze

In a patriotic fashion, Blue Blaze Brewing will be providing locals with hot dogs, chargrilled to perfection, along with $2 off pitchers. The eco-friendly brewery uses local, organic malts and hops when possible, resulting in crisp brew batches bound to quench your thirst amidst the notorious Charlotte heat. Analog Crash will provide tunes during the evening, further making the brewery a laid back, yet tasty, spot to spend your holiday.
Queen City Brass Band
July 3rd, 7:30 p.m.
Celebrate your Fourth of July evening with family and friends on the lawn. Head to the Mint Hill Town Hall and listen to the Queen City Brass Band play songs from our country’s history. Chairs and blankets are welcome.

If you’re looking for a more active way to spend your holiday, register for the American 4-miler hosted by Famous Toastery. The race promotes the buying and selling of local and American products and starts at 7:30 AM. Registration ends on July 3rd.
Plaza Midwood Independence Day Pig Pickin’

Plaza Midwood’s 17th Annual Fourth of July celebration is back for another year of southern-style barbeque, brews, and live music. This year’s fest will feature mouthwatering barbeque and ice cold beer provided by The Diamond, as well as live music on the outdoor stage. The family-friendly event is a must-visit for Charlotteans looking to embark on all that is American this Fourth of July.
Soul Gastrolounge Fourth of July Dinner Feature

For the perfect Fourth of July celebratory dinner, head to Soul Gastrolounge for the custom-created BBQ pork cheek with sweet corn pudding, smothered in a white corn cream sauce. Along with this classically southern dish, try one of the many cocktails off of the recently debut summer cocktail list for a refreshing twist.
