5/24/17 – ‘State of the Art’ is the newest art exhibit in the Taste of the Mint series. What better way to see it than with a meal and drinks provided by the Mint? Enjoy three small plates at Halcyon Flavors from the Earth before joining a curator-led tour of ‘State of the Art.’

Celebrity Swing Classic Golf Tournament
5/21/17 – 5/22/17 – 26 celebrity athletes and over 100 golfers will all be taking part in the first annual NFL-Alumni Carolinas’ Celebrity Swing Classic golf tournament at River Run Country Club in Davidson. The tournament will benefit the Ada Jenkins Center, and the two-day event is VIP-style: It consists of a custom swag bag with FootJoy and Maui Jim products, a celebrity draft party, cowboy steak dinner, and complimentary beer and wine. All-time greats top off the roster, like Eric Dickerson, Bruce Smith, Sterling Sharpe and Charlotte Today’s Eugene Robinson.

The Charlotte 48 Hour Film Project – Cannes Film Critique
5/23/17 – Join as we work to send one of Charlotte’s local filmmakers to Cannes 2018 via The 48 Hour Film Project. Teams draw a genre at random, then are assigned a character’s name, a prop and a line of dialogue. Their seven-minute short film is due in 48 hours. The winner from Charlotte goes head to head with 137 cities around the world for one of 12 slots at Festival de Cannes. This is your chance to meet local film makers at The Knight Gallery on the night the world’s top 48 HFP films screen at Cannes – May 23rd.

Old School Board Game Night
5/27/17 – Come play all of the board games you adored growing up, including Scrabble, Jenga, Twister, Connect Four, Spades, Taboo, and Dirty Minds. This adults only 30+ event will include the best of 80’s and 90’s R&B and Hip Hop while you challenge your friends in old school board games.

Charlotte Asian Film Festival
5/26/17 – 5/27/17 – Get a taste of the culture and everyday life of Asian communities at the Charlotte Asian Film Festival. The best Asian full-length films, shorts, and documentaries will be shown as a part of Asian Heritage Month. The event will be held at UNC Charlotte’s Center City Campus in Uptown.

Mint Hill Madness
5/26/17 – 5/28/17 – Come out for a family friendly festival complete with carnival rides, boardwalk style food, tons of arts and crafts booths, and live entertainment. The 34th annual festival will be held at the Mint Hill Veterans Memorial Park.

Kelly Fest at Bonterra 
5/28/17 – Join Bob and Kelly for food, music and wine on May 28 from 4-8 p.m. at Bonterra Dining & Wine Room. Enjoy Kelly’s Favorite Southern dishes while dancing to the sounds of the Robert Foley Band. The menu will include fried chicken, Carolina BBQ and all the fixin’s with wines from Robert Foley Vineyards, as well as, beer from Triple C Brewing Company.
