Justin Burke-Samson began his culinary journey in Boston, Massachusetts, where he worked at a few local restaurants and bakeries to put himself through college. Fascinated by the pastries he saw leaving the kitchens each day, Samson began to take the recipes home and try them out himself. The self-taught baker now brings his baked goods to Davidson’s beloved Kindred and Lake Norman’s Hello, Sailor. Perfect for dunking into a warm hot chocolate, Samson’s Dark Chocolate Thyme Shortbread will compliment any cold winter morning.
